Most digital marketing agencies do the same stuff; website construction, SEO, social media, etc. Some do it well and some it’s hard to tell. Unfortunately, almost all of them will lie to you on some level about the effectiveness of what they do. Most of what they are selling is merely a man behind the curtain. I don’t believe in this practice. I am radically transparent and upfront. I will lay out the entire plan so we can have a 30,000ft view, as well as a ground level POV.
Four phases compose effective digital marketing:
Your Digital Platform (Website)
Social media is essential, but your website is your platform and the digital imprint that you control. You don’t want your business to be at the mercy of a tech company’s algorithm, so I build your website with time-test digital marketing practices. Your site will be constructed with multiple lead capture and opt-in points to allow your customers to dive in when they get the courage. We do this so you can convert leads instantly or at least start a drip marketing campaign that will convert them later.
All web pages are written to maximize SEO according to Google’s current SEO commandments. We take the time to write well and make sure your SEO will lead to organic searches.
I find it best to look at social media, blogs, videos and email campaigns as one entity, digital streams. Produce content and multiple that content across numerous digital streams. If you produce good content, stay consistent and do give up, you will succeed.
SEM (Search Engine Marketing) or pay-per-click is vital in the current digital landscape. Google is here to make money, so it’s no surprise they have redefined the internet not to be free. If you want to be towards the top of your Google search page, then you will need SEM campaigns. How these aids are written and constructed is a bit of an art.
This is another area where you will find the man behind the curtain. Many SEM agencies under promise, over deliver but they take a massive cut of your ad revenue without you even knowing. Think of these people like the mechanic shop at a dealership. They will get you every time because you know little about AdWords.
Analytics is something a digital agency embraces to use as a tool for making your campaigns better, or they run from it. Don’t be fooled by “we focus on word-of-mouth marketing.” That translate to, “we aren’t sure we know if this works.” We use analytics to see what works and what doesn’t. It’s the simplest, yet most powerful tool at our disposal. If something is working, you’ll see why and if it isn’t, you’ll see why. Either way, we will know.
